Grupo Frontera is a regional Mexican music act from McAllen, Texas whose lineup includes Adelaido Solís III, Julián Peña Jr., Alberto Acosta, Carlos Guerrero, and Juan Javier Cantú. Blending a signature norteño sound with cross-genre collaborations, the group has grown into a major part of the modern regional movement, amassing 37 million monthly Spotify listeners and 7 million social followers. Grupo Frontera reached a major milestone in 2022 with their first No. 1 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay chart through the Carín León collaboration “Que Vuelvas.” In 2023, the group broke into the Top 5 of the Hot 100 through “un x100to” with Bad Bunny. Credited with helping usher regional Mexican music’s crossover into the mainstream, Grupo Frontera earned their first Latin Grammy in 2024 for Best Norteño Album, which they followed with the release of their second studio album, Jugando a Que No Pasa Nada, and 2025’s Lo Que Me Falta Por Llorar. Also in 2025, the group accepted an invitation to perform at NPR’s prestigious Tiny Desk, introducing the norteño sound to new international audiences.
